William Farquhar was the real founder of singapore because he transformed singapore from a sleepy village to a thriving port. He attracted traders to singapore by settling some people in the town. He tried his best to solve the problems singapore faced such as pests. Hw was solely in charge of governing singapore so he should be credited with the honour of founding singapore.
